Happy Feast Of Tabernacles!
According to The Scriptural Method for determining Rosh Chodesh today, the 24th of October, is the 15th Day of the 7th New Moon of Scripture and therefore the 1st Day of the 7-Day Feast of Tabernacles known as Sukkot in Hebrew!
In Leviticus 23 we find the believer’s mandate for observing this Scriptural Moedim of The Almighty…
Lev 23:33 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Lev 23:34 “Speak to the children of Yisra’ěl, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh new moon is the Festival of Sukkot for seven days to יהוה.
Lev 23:35 ‘On the first day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.
Lev 23:36 ‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. It is a closing festival, you do no servile work.
Today is a ‘High Sabbath’… Why? Because the 1st Day of Sukkot ALWAYS lands on the 2nd Weekly Sabbath of the 7th New Moon. The only calendar on which this fact is established in the Lunar Sabbath calendar!
You’ll notice both the 1st Day of Sukkot and the 8th Day are to be “set-apart gatherings”. Unfortunately because of the ‘falling away’ of those professing to be believers in Messiah I will celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles as a ‘set-apart gathering’ of 1. Hopefully I’ll be blessed with drop in visitors during my stay out here at the Grove Lake Wildlife Management Area as I do my best observe to Sukkot.
So what is Sukkot all about? Is it just an opportunity to go camping in what is often times inclement weather? No, not at all. The Fall Festivals of Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot will one day soon be fulfilled by Messiah Yahusha. Yom Teruah foreshadows His returning to gather His Bride and Yom Kippur foreshadows His judgment over those who portend to be His Bride and have returned to the border of The Promised Land, not everyone who has participated in the return to The Promised Land will be allowed to enter into The Promised Land, The judgment will sort out the rebels in the camp who have returned via The Greater Exodus from the truly faithful who have returned as well. This divorcement of the rebels will leave many gnashing their teeth when the realize they have squandered their opportunity to become the Wife of Messiah Yahusha through their filthy pride. Yom Kippur should be understood as the ‘consummation‘ of the Betrothal Phase of The Marriage Covenant. Many will be divorced and many will be found faithful and obedient.
Those who do successfully pass under His rod of judgment on Yom Kippur will be received by Messiah Yahusha at His Marriage Supper of The Lamb, which is when He will ratify His Marriage Covenant with those who truly were His faithful and obedient Bride.
The Marriage Supper of The Lamb is a 7-Day celebration celebrated during the 7-Day Feast of Tabernacles when Messiah Yahusha will lift the Cup of The New Covenant and drink anew with His Bride and in so doing He will ratify the Marriage Covenant with those who drank from The Cup of The New Covenant to enter into His marriage covenant as faithful believers committed to keeping His Commandments, which are the ‘terms’ of the marriage covenant, His Commandments are the basis for His righteous judgment that sorts the rebels from the faithful, obedient followers of Messiah Yahusha. Our Betrothal began with our drinking from The Cup of The New Covenant. His ratification of our marriage covenant with Him is finally realized when He drinks from The Cup of The New Covenant at The Marriage Supper of The Lamb! There can be no divorcement after that momentous occasion! The Cup of The New Covenant forms two bookends to His marriage covenant process. We drink from The Cup of The New Covenant according to His ‘entry rite’ into The New Marriage Covenant and He drinks from The Cup of The New Covenant at The Marriage Supper of The Lamb during the Feast of Tabernacles to ratify The New Marriage Covenant to make His faithful and obedient Bride His Wife!
Brothers and Sisters we have been commanded to “REMEMBER” His 7th Day Sabbaths and His Annual Moedim. He has not brought you this far just to leave you where you’re at… take the next step on your journey to becoming the Wife of Messiah Yahusha.
