Last night the Full Moon rose AFTER the setting of the Sun thereby beaconing a New Month beginning this morning, March 29th. Since this was the 1st New Moon to rise AFTER the Vernal Equinox it becomes the 1st New Moon of the New Year!
In the photo below I'm reminded of Genesis 1:14-19 and give thanks to The Almighty for having brought me to this point in my life where I have begun to understand the motions of His time keeping mechanisms.
I also think of YAHUAH speaking to Moses in Exodus 12:1-2 when He restores Israel to His time keeping principles.
1 Samuel 20 comes to mind as David returns to his father's house to keep an annual festival, i.e. Rosh Hashanah, to avoid King Saul's back to back days of Chodesh and Rosh Chodesh festivals knowing he intended to kill David.
I'm also mindful of Psalm 81:3 which vividly proclaims the Full Moon as the New Moon when the shofar is to be blown on our solemn festival, again Rosh Hashanah.
I think of Psalm 89:37 referring to the Moon as a "faithful witness", as well as Psalm 104:19 proclaiming the rising Full Moon as the beacon for the Moedim when the Sun is setting.
I'm reminded of Revelation 12:1, a great sign, a woman clothed with the Sun and the Moon beneath her feet, a clear reference to the constellation Virgo rising in the East as the Sun sets in the West with the Full Moon beneath her feet creating a time stamp for the beginning of The Great Tribulation in the Spring of some future year.
Last but certainly not least, I believe this is the very day that our Messiah was born in Bethlehem! Being The Lamb of YAH Messiah Yahusha would have been born at the very same time the Passover Lambs would have been born... in the Spring!
I pray that those who have been called of The Father will have their eyes opened to the necessity of keeping His Moedim in this New Year... HalleluYAH and Amein!
